Here at Better Training resources must meet key criteria, namely will they enhance learning and spur consistent innovation and execution before, during, and most importantly after training? If the answer is yes, they stay. If not, they're gone. In most cases this means workbooks are out, and instead standard offerings like desktop calendars, focussed worksheets and wearables (wristbands) are in. Crafted with ongoing use, visual impact and maximum accessibility in mind, Better Training's resources are, well... Just better!

03 MOVING FROM KNOWING TO DOINGBetter LEARNING TRANSFER.Research suggests that after only one week, newly learnt information is almost entirely forgotten, unless strategic and systematic content reviews are undertaken. It is certainly true that one of the biggest challenges with any type of learning is 'making it stick', that is, putting what has been learnt into practice (learning transfer). At Better Training this crucial but often overlooked aspect of training is thoroughly managed via an innovative blended learning approach (a mix of online/digital and in-room content). By book-ending in-room sessions with pre-training tasks and post-training challenges*, learners not only have a running start heading into training, but are systematically challenged to recall and utilise key content for 6 weeks afterwards. As a result of this consistent exposure to key content, learners achieve maximum learning transfer, develop new and robust habits and achieve new levels of performance.

As a basic standalone option, or to complement our existing offerings, we have exclusive online solutions available. Learners will receive up to 12 weeks' worth of email challenges (at a day/time of their choosing) related to a specific solution, e.g. Emotionally smart! All challenges include a knowledge based mini activity or exercise, followed by a simple challenge designed to compel learners to transfer knowledge into action.
Our online options are kept short and simple for a reason. Most, if not all employees can use email, which makes ease of use a major feature of our online solutions. Learners can jump straight into learning something new, receive clear directions for how to put learning into action, and begin embedding new behaviours and habits all within 10-20 minutes per week.
